#Google and Twitter sitting in a tree, putting tweets in search results for you and me In February,

Twitter search engine works, but it nothing special. Google is the king of search, and with Twitter data, it suddenly about to get even more useful.

they will only think more highly of the search engine, and presumably use it more. In this way, Google is next in line as the one to benefit from this new partnership.

and haptic feedback technology for the next iphones Apple is currently working on building orce Touchtechnology and haptic feedback into the screens of its new iphones,

When you press harder on the screen, it senses the increased pressure by measuring the increased surface area occupied by the finger.

On the larger screen of a phone, it could open up all kinds of possibilities. For instance, you may be able to Force Touch on any word on the screen to bring up a definition.

Or you may be able to Force Touch on the screen to change the backdrop image or animation on the home screen.

The end result could be the reduction of clutter in ios. A function that was activated once by a button might

instead be activated by a Force Touch, so the button is needed no longer. The source said that Apple will also couple the Force Touch feature with haptic feedback engine that might verify to the user that the for gesture has activated a feature.

Moky hides a trackpad in the surface of a keyboard The keyboard is a popular accessory for mobile devices

because it often much easier to type with than the tiny one featured on a smartphone or tablet.

Moky is a twist on the typical mobile keyboard, featuring a large, invisible touchpad that controlled by the user gestures.

An infrared laser sensor module provides a thin optical surface on the keyboard. The device communicates wirelessly with whatever mobile device is used with it via Bluetooth Low energy 4. 0 technology.

The keyboard cover meanwhile, doubles as a portable device stand. Moky costs $149 and will ship in October.

Its maker is hoping to raise $30, 000 by July 9. The core technology may have broader potential.

Moky seems like a neat accessory for compatible mobile devices, but that means only Android and Windows for now, according to the Indiegogo campaign.

Only the keyboard itself is supported on ios devices as Apple doesn support mice or trackpads in that operating system.

Synaptics, for one, recently has shown off Smartbar technology that turns a keyboard space bar into a pointing device complement

and Apple is rumored also to be working on similar technology, perhaps for the Mac. From the campaign video, it not easy to tell just how easy it is to use Moky,

but the ability to conserve the space taken up by a trackpad would surely have allure for some users e

#Nvidia Unveils Tegrax1 Soc Drive CX And Drive PX Nvidia has unveiled a chip that can pump out the quality of a high gaming console on your smartphones.

Additionally, the famous graphics card manufacturer also released demos of two computing platforms, Drive CX and Drive PX, for cars.

The smartphone chip, Nvidia Tegra X1 Soc has an 8-core 64-bit CPU and a 256ore Maxwell-based GPU.

Nvidia claims that it is the first mobile chip that will provide a teraflop of processing power.

They also added that it is equivalent to the fastest supercomputer in the world in 2000.

The Tegra X1 is also much more efficient than the Tegra K1. Nvidia showed a demo of the Unreal Engine Elemental sequence to display the power and efficiency of the Tegra X1.

Jen-Hsun Huang, cofounder of Nvidia, said, ast year, when next generation game consoles were released,

they consumed 100 watts when running Unreal Engine Elemental demo. Now we can do it on Tegra X1 at 10 watts.

Nvidia believes that the first beneficiaries of the Soc will be cars. The Nvidia Drive CX is based on a single Tegra X1 platform

whereas the Driver PX is based on the dual Tegra X1s. Nvidia Drive CX will act as the digital cockpit computer,

and it will be the lifeline of a car infotainment system. It will also be able to power four full-HD screens simultaneously or even two 4k screens.

Drive CX will also be able to recognize speech and faces of it users. Meanwhile, Drive PX is an image processing platform

and it will have the capability to work with inputs from up to 12 cameras. All these cameras will work in tandem

Nvidia also released a recording of a demo drive of a car with Drive PX that was able to find a space in a parking garage traveling at a speed of 8 km h.

With these two platforms Nvidia hopes to revolutionize the dashboard and give a boost to the concept of driverless cars s

#Intel theory on opening software During December last year, Intel showcased a special project we worked on for renowned English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, author,

Intel was able to demonstrate for the first time with Professor Hawking an Intel-created open-source communications platform to replace his decades-old system,

and the very specific relationship between this man and his machine, Intel has delivered a tailored solution--called ACAT (Assistive Context Aware Toolkit)--resulting in improved communication for Hawking with the world.

A multidisciplinary team of researchers from Intel Labs has been working for three years with Hawking to replace his current communications system with modern technology.

providing ongoing feedback to help Intel improve the system with every iteration. Similar to the parts of an engine interacting smoothly to run a car,

the Intel-created software user interface enables existing and new technologies to efficiently work with each other.

and helps him select a character on the computer. Integrating software from British language technology company Swiftkey has improved greatly the system's ability to learn from Hawking to predict his next characters

and words so he only has to type less than 20 percent of all characters. This information is sent to his existing speech synthesizer

so he can communicate to others through his laptop. For example, to conduct a web search,

navigating a mouse to run the browser, navigating the mouse again to the search bar,

and finally typing the search text. The new system automates all of these steps for a seamless and swift process.

The value Intel sees in using open software extends to the cloud. This is why it has been proactive in making sure open-source solutions for the cloud,

Intel has a long history of using open-source software for its Design Grid and now it can add to that list creating open-software as well l

#Intel, Micron unveil 3d XPOINT as first new class of memory tech in decades Building off a partnership forged over the last decade,

Intel and Micron jointly debuted a new memory storage technology on Tuesday. Dubbed 3d XPOINT, the transistor-less storage and memory platform is designed to offer a nonvolatile,

and applications stored closer to the processor. The two memory producers touted this is the first introduction of a new memory category

and many people gave up trying to accomplish,"reflected Rob Crooke, senior vice president and general manager of Intel's Nonvolatile Memory Solutions Group, during a media presentation on Tuesday morning.

Intel and Micron executives shared a forecast that the world will generate roughly 44 zettabytes in the next five years.

Intel and Micron said they are already developing products based on 3d XPOINT with samples scheduled to start rolling out to select customers later this year.

Showing no signs of a summer slowdown, Intel has had already quite a big month--most notably a solid second quarter earnings report two weeks ago.

Intel CEO Brian Krzanich credited the results to growth in three departments--memory, data centers and the Internet of things--altogether

Those units also made up for continued pitfalls surrounding the PC space. More Intel news can be expected soon as the tech giant's annual conference

Intel Developer Forum (IDF), is taking place in San francisco a bit earlier this year from August 18 to 20.

Skylake, the code name for Intel's sixth-generation Core processor aimed at PCS, is slated also to drop during the second half of 2015.
