Solving the problem is not so simple, especially with regards to aviation the source of two-percent of the annual greenhouse gas emissions from human activity.

Ours is the first process to generate true drop in aviation biofuels. Scown cites the Intergovernmental panel on climate change (IPCC) on the importance of drop in aviation biofuels. n a 2014 report

the IPCC pointed out that drop in biofuels are the only viable alternative to conventional jet fuels,

air travel is going to require renewable liquid fuels because batteries and fuel cells simply aren practical. The process developed at EBI can be used to selectively upgrade alkyl methyl ketones derived from sugarcane biomass into trimer condensates with better than 95-percent yields.

a spintronic circuit needs a well-controlled source of spin-polarized electrons that are injected into a transport channel material,

it requires a transport channel material with long spin lifetimes because (polarized) spins fade away (i e.,

, become randomized) and lose their information during transport, unlike electric charges. Compared to manipulating populations of moving electrons through a conventional semiconductor,

and so is Alq3 for spin transport. Project Leader Christina Hacker elaborates: obalt surfaces are really interesting for electronic applications.

which is critical in electronic transport through the SAM and into the organic semiconductor. This finding suggests that the rapid oxidation of cobalt does not necessarily have to be a limiting factor in organic spintronics.

we need spin injection, spin transport, and spin detection, Jang explains. ur latest work with SAMS only concerns the interface relevant to the spin injection part.

The next step should be to find a better medium for spin transport since only short-distance couple of hundred nanometersf spin transport has been demonstrated in organic materials such as Alq3 so far.

There have been studies suggesting that long-distance spin transport in organics is achievable. Our grand plan is to make a whole device and show really long-distance (in this tiny device,

over a micrometer) spin transport through an organic semiconductor. r

#Supersonic Aircraft patented by an Airbus Group Company The European aeronautic defence and space company has patented a revolutionary aircraft that leaves every other supersonic jet far behind.

The sonic boom created by this aircraft is surprisingly less than that of the Concorde. The aircraft is equipped with two ramjets under its delta wings, a pair of Turbojets under the front part of the fuselage and a rocket engine at the rear end of the fuselage.

The turbojets are used for propelling the aircraft during taxiing and takeoff. The passengers and the crew are placed in hammocks for improved comfort.

Once the aircraft climbs to a certain altitude, the turbojets are retracted into the fuselage. At this point, the rocket engine is ignited at full power causing the aircraft to travel vertically like a rocket at supersonic speeds.

Because of this vertical trajectory, the energy of the supersonic boom is dissipated in all horizontal radial directions

and does not encounter the ground. The ingenuity that makes higher supersonic speeds possible lies in the pair of fins situated on the outer ends of the delta wings.

At speeds less than MACH 1, these fins are oriented horizontally. However, once the speed exceeds MACH 1

the fins are oriented vertically. This causes the centre of pressure to be maintained at the same point and thus providing greater stability.

the aircraft curves into a horizontal trajectory at which point the rocket engine is powered off and closed by a door to make it streamlined.

The ram jets are ignited then and the aircraft is propelled horizontally at supersonic speeds. At 4. 5 mach, you can reach from London to NY in 1 hr.

Currently it takes a 7 hrs flight. The flight path of this aircraft technically makes it the highest roller coaster in the world.

Let me know in the comments below how many of you would consider a roller coaster ride
