#New graphene based inks for high-speed manufacturing of printed electronics A low-cost, high-speed method for printing graphene inks using a conventional roll-to-roll printing process,

"We are pleased to be the first to bring graphene inks close to real-world manufacturing. There are lots of companies that have produced graphene inks,

but none of them has done it on a scale close to this, "said Dr Tawfique Hasan of the Cambridge Graphene Centre (CGC),

whereas this new graphene ink formulation would be 25 times cheaper. Additionally, silver is not recyclable,

which required no modifications in order to print with the graphene ink. In addition to the new applications the method will open up for graphene,

Wee already learned that the team from Northwestern University have developed a solution-based 3d printable graphene ink that can be used to make objects multiple centimeters in length.

the team led by Ramille Shah has unveiled just a lot more about the potential and limitations of their graphene ink,

The secret to this graphene ink is that the graphene is embedded into microscopic flakes. This makes the ink highly viscous,

and regenerative medicine when the scientists populated one of the graphene ink scaffolds with stem cells, they found that the cells didn't just survive,

But the applications of a highly-conductive graphene ink could be just as exciting in building high-performance electronics.

#Scientists print low cost radio frequency antenna with graphene ink (Nanowerk News) Scientists have moved graphene--the incredibly strong and conductive single-atom-thick sheet of carbon--a significant step along the path

Researchers from the University of Manchester, together with BGT Materials Limited, a graphene manufacturer in the United kingdom, have printed a radio frequency antenna using compressed graphene ink.

"These scanning electron microscope images show the graphene ink after it was deposited and dried (a) and after it was compressed (b). Compression makes the graphene nanoflakes more dense,

Graphene ink is generally low cost and mechanically flexible advantages it has over other types of conductive ink,

Graphene ink with binders usually conducts electricity better than binder-free ink, but only after the binder material,

which graphene ink can be printed because the high temperatures destroy materials like paper or plastic. The University of Manchester research team

together with BGT Materials Limited, found a way to increase the conductivity of graphene ink without resorting to a binder.

and the resulting"graphene laminate"was also almost two times more conductive than previous graphene ink made with a binder.
