Nvidia Demos a Car Computer Trained with Deep Learning Many cars now include cameras or other sensors that record the passing world and trigger intelligent behavior,

This week at the International Consumer electronics Show in Las vegas, Nvidia, a leading marking of computer graphics chips, unveiled a vehicle computer called the Drive PX that could help cars interpret

Nvidia already supplies chips to many car makers but engineers at those companies usually have to write software to collect

The computer uses Nvidia new graphics microprocessor, the Tegra X1. It is capable of processing information from up to 12 cameras simultaneously,

Another computer from Nvidia, called the Drive CX, is designed to generate realistic 3-D maps

The new Nvidia hardware can also be updated remotely, so that car manufacturers can fix bugs or add new functionality.

That, too, included Nvidia chips. The introduction of Nvidia product is a landmark moment for deep learning,

a technology that processes sensory information efficiently by loosely mimicking the way the brain works.

At CES, Nvidia showed that its software can detect objects such as cars, people, bicycles and signs, even when they are hidden partly.

Yoshua Bengio, a deep-learning researcher at the University of Montreal, says the Nvidia chipset is an important commercial milestone. would not call it a breakthrough,

At a press event Sunday, Jen-Hsun Huang, Nvidia CEO, said the devices will provide ore computing horsepower inside a car than anything you have today. e

#Nvidia's Tegra X1 Powers Smart cars At the Consumer electronics Show (CES) last week, Nvidia released demos of two computing platforms, Drive CX and Drive PX

These computing platforms are part of the venture called Nvidia Drive and are powered by the Tegra X1 mobile chip.

Nvidia Drive PX is for the actual driving side of the smart car equation, while Drive CX deals with digital systems on the dashboard and elsewhere in the vehicle.

Nvidia also released a recording of a demo drive of a car with Drive PX that was able to find a space in a parking garage traveling at a speed of 8 kmph.

Nvidia senior manager for CUDA Libraries and Algorithms Jonathan Cohen, said, ecause this is a neural network,

#Nvidia Unveils Tegrax1 Soc Drive CX And Drive PX Nvidia has unveiled a chip that can pump out the quality of a high gaming console on your smartphones.

Additionally, the famous graphics card manufacturer also released demos of two computing platforms, Drive CX and Drive PX, for cars.

The smartphone chip, Nvidia Tegra X1 Soc has an 8-core 64-bit CPU and a 256ore Maxwell-based GPU.

Nvidia claims that it is the first mobile chip that will provide a teraflop of processing power.

Nvidia showed a demo of the Unreal Engine Elemental sequence to display the power and efficiency of the Tegra X1.

Jen-Hsun Huang, cofounder of Nvidia, said, ast year, when next generation game consoles were released,

Nvidia believes that the first beneficiaries of the Soc will be cars. The Nvidia Drive CX is based on a single Tegra X1 platform

whereas the Driver PX is based on the dual Tegra X1s. Nvidia Drive CX will act as the digital cockpit computer,

and it will be the lifeline of a car infotainment system. It will also be able to power four full-HD screens simultaneously or even two 4k screens.

Nvidia also released a recording of a demo drive of a car with Drive PX that was able to find a space in a parking garage traveling at a speed of 8 km h.

With these two platforms Nvidia hopes to revolutionize the dashboard and give a boost to the concept of driverless cars s
